Bishop John Ayodele Okobi

Bishop John Ayodele Okobi is a dynamic man of God anointed and called to the ministering of the word to the total man. Bishop Okobi is a preacher, teacher, prophet, apostle and pastor. Having served in the ministry for forty years, he has through the grace and sufficiency of God been able to plant many churches. He was the Bishop and Founder of New Anointing Deliverance Church Worldwide, before he was called to glory on the 2nd of December, 2009 in Los-Angeles, California.

Presently, Rev. Mrs. Caroline John Okobi is the General Overseer of New Anointing Deliverance Church Worldwide after the demise of her husband. The College of Bishops in California consecrated her as the General Overseer of the New Anointing Deliverance Church on the 5th of December, 2009 by late Archbishop Portee.

New Anointing Deliverance church ministry is a church with a difference set apart by God to teach and preach the totality of the gospel of the kingdom. It is a church where all members would find a sense of identification. It is a church where all have the same equal right and recognition. It is a place of spiritual gifts. We believe in salvation by the grace of God and healing of the sick. We preach and teach deliverance from problems, sins, sickness, demonic oppression and possession. We believe in miracles and believe that God can do all things but cannot fail. We believe that Jesus Christ is the same Yesterday, today and forever, Heb. 13:8.

Various activities are geared towards achieving the totality of the gospel which is;

  • Bible Study Services which are designed to enlighten and grow members into maturity, and develop intimate relationship that comes with the understanding of God’s Word. Hebrews 4:12 “For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart”.
  • Friday Miracle Service is a powerful ministration of God’s manifestation of Miracles, Healing, Deliverance and a seasoned word of Faith, breaking very barriers and thus setting Captivity free.
  • Friday Night Vigils it is niche service which is an overflow of God’s presence filled with a great outpouring of Miracles, Signs and Wonders. Hebrews 2:4, “God also testifying with them, both by signs and wonders and by various miracles and by gifts of the Holy Spirit according to His own will”.
  • Children’s Church is a ministry that teaches and trains the future (children) of God’s love and how to love God and love their friends, parents and their neighbors. Our ministry specializes on a detailed guide on training kids on a step to step basis of the ways of our Lord Jesus Christ. Thus teaching them to grow in God’s love, and to pray and imbibe the totality of the Word of God in a conducive and spiritual environment; “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it Proverbs 22:6.”
  • Teens Fellowship Trendy and Godly teens who are passionate and sold out to Jesus cause and also influential amongst their peers, the society and the Body of Christ.

The official commissioning of New Anointing Deliverance Church was done by Late Tunji Braithwaithe and Late Bishop John Ayodele Okobi on Saturday 4th of August, 1990 at Ikeja Local Government council Hall, Lagos.

On December 31st, 1989 the Lord spoke to me (Bishop John Ayodele Okobi) saying “Leave this place, this town and this ministry and go to a place I will show you. You have been an apprentice for all these years, but I have now declared this day as a day of freedom for you. I have separated you for a special ministry of deliverance; you must take my deliverance message to the world; you will raise for me an army that will go to the world with my deliverance power; this is the second phase of your ministry. Nigeria shall be your base, but the world will be your field, particularly the West Africa countries”.

In obedience to this heavenly vision and call, I left the mission where I had put in 19 years as a Pastor, in the company of my wife, Pastor C. Okobi and my children to start a ministry in a new city, where we were not known. On March 2nd 1990 the New Anointing Deliverance Church was born in Lagos.
But by God’s own special grace; we commenced our first worship service at AZ primary school Mangoro, Lagos with Eleven (11) people in attendance including children.

Spiritually sound, balanced and matured Church; Ephesians 4:13-15

until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ. but speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in all aspects into Him who is the head, even Christ.

  • A family that prays stays together and grows in love; 1 John 4:19“We love because he first loved us”. Acts 2:10 “He and all his family were devout and God-fearing; he gave generously to those in need and prayed to God regularly”.
  • A Church with a mandate to train and develop children to be God fearing, faithful and worthy of examples to their peers. Psalm 127:3 Children are a heritage from the LORD, offspring a reward from him.
  • Financial: financially stable Church and a blessing to their family and humanity, Gen. 12.
  • Economy: A top professional or a successful business man, having others in his employment, Daniel 6:3– Then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes, because an excellent spirit [was] in him; and the king thought to set him over the whole realm
  • Health: A Church who is emotionally, mentally and physically fit (3 John 1:2)
  • Social Status: A church that is aware of their unique potential, identity in Christ, and deliberate in leaving positive impression everywhere they go (Dan. 1:8)
  • Innovation: A church that produces and develops People who are solution provider anywhere they go, beaming with ideas.
  • Assets: Have investment and asset that can hand over to the next generation, even to the fourth. , Proverbs 13:22 “A goodman leaves an inheritance to his children’s children,
  • Education: Informed, knowledgeable Church; Colossians 2:2-3 “that their hearts may be encouraged, having been knit together in love, and attaining to all the wealth that comes from the full assurance of understanding, resulting in a true knowledge of God’s mystery, that is, Christ Himself”. Philippians 1:9 “And this I pray, that your love may abound still more and more in real knowledge and all discernment”.

Service groups such as the Call Center, Ushering, Evangelism and Visitation Team, The Church Keepers etc are kingdom based group who serve God in their various abilities with excellence driven by the love for God, His work and the People.
